Living Labs, Use Cases and Business Cases for Artificial Intelligence in Logistics
The transformational effects of digitalisation have reached the logistic sector. Big and Linked Data, the mutual exchange of data, corresponding data governance and the generation of real-time data by sensors provide the basis, synchromodality and physical internet allow fast reactions in real time - in addition to enabling technologies and applications, the increased collaboration of supply networks and carriers is also crucial and has the potential to avoid empty trips. This networking event will provide you a deeper insight into the current trends at the interface between ICT, AI and logistics.
In the H2020 project LOGISTAR this and the cooperation of the different actors in international Living Labs with the participation of the Semantic Web Company from Vienna will be explored. The Viennese Living Lab - the thinkport VIENNA - is primarily concerned with urban logistics.
Another Viennese company wants to be at the forefront of supply chain management. A spin-off of Vienna’s Technical University, Prewave, with the support of the Vienna Business Agency, has developed a software-supported risk management tool that recognizes risk events based on social media data.
The ÖBB Business Competence Center is ÖBB's internal service provider and deals with a multitude of innovations and their potential for the railway company - including the applicability of AI for its freight logistics.
