06.11.2023: Discover Vienna: Climate Tech

To facilitate exchange and knowledge transfer between the stakeholders of the vibrant impact scene in Vienna and international startups, Vienna Business Agency offers a five-day program from November 5 to November 10, 2023.  Discover Vienna: Climate Tech will provide insights into the Viennese Climate Tech ecosystem and can help you to explore business opportunities in Vienna. The programme focuses primarily on the fields of Renewable Energy, Hydrogen, Climate Change Adaption, Circular Economy, Sustainable Mobility, and Urban Logistics.

The programme targets international startups that work on new clean technologies, are reshaping the way we do business, and are working towards decarbonizing the economy. The selected startups can join exclusive round tables & meetings with relevant stakeholders from the Viennese innovation landscape and startup ecosystem.

• Exploration of opportunities in Vienna with peers joining the group from different parts of the world.
• Meet & Greet with local authorities and stakeholders from the Viennese startup ecosystem.

Conditions of participation

The program is designed for international companies and startups that are not older than 5 years, are beyond the prototype stage and have already successfully launched in their domestic market.

Following costs are covered:

• Accommodation for up to 9 days from November 2 to November 10, 2023 for one person/startup
• Free access to events which are organized by Vienna Business Agency
• Free access to events which are organized by partners of Vienna Business Agency
• Optional: Previous to the program, there will be the International Vienna Energy and Climate Forum (IVECF) organized during 2-3 November in the Hofburg Imperial Palace by our partner UNIDO. Startups can opt in to participate in the side events within IVECF too. VBA will cover the extended stay from November 2 to November 10, 2023 in this case.

The jury meeting will take place on 28.09.2023 and selected startups will be informed on 29.09.2023 via e-mail.
