Part of HOW TO FASHION in cooperation with the Austrian Fashion Association and Angewandte
Fashion under capitalism kills. From the Rana Plaza factory collapse to the Covid-19 pandemic, to the climate crisis, the fashion industry is constructed to place more value on the clothes it sells than on the lives of the people making them. This cannot be allowed to continue.
Join us as we discuss the global impact of clothing production and the way forward to a new fashion system!
How do we revolutionise the fashion industry?
How do we put garment workers and the planet at the heart of the industry?
And what might anti-capitalist fashion look like?
The safety and health of our guests are of great concern to us.
For this reason, we are postponing the Talk with Tansy Hopkins planned for 30 November 2021 until spring 2022.
As soon as the new date is fixed, you will be informed here.

About HOW TO FASHION
Under the title HOW TO FASHION, the Austrian Fashion Association and the Vienna Business Agency support fashion designers and labels with a focus on imparting economic know-how, networking, internationalization and professionalization: a multi-part workshop program with international experts started in November 2021 as well as a video series, in which Viennese fashion labels talk about their work and their motivation. The cooperation also enables sponsored participation in the AFA x DACH showroom. The joint program will be expanded to include talks and discussions on current topics in the fashion sector.
